The Agreement brokered by Turkey and the United Nations, whereby Russia allowed Ukraine Grains to be shipped out of the War Zone to the World, has been terminated by Russia.
Russia asserts that the Western Powers have not lived up to their part of the deal, which would have also allowed Russia to ship its grain abroad.
It has been a widely expected move by Russia, as rumors have persisted that Ukraine has used the returning grain ships to move weapons into Ukraine. Whether those rumors are factual, we don’t know, but it would explain the Russian’s move today.
The Moscow Times reports that the last ship carrying Ukraine Wheat departed port on Sunday.
Here in the United States, Wheat Futures are higher by 2.72% on the news.
